Here is one of the first paper airplanes I ever invented.
It is a fast dart plane that does really well outside when it’s thrown hard. It is based off the classic dart, which everyone knows how to make, but goes faster and does not glide.
This one is called The Chihuahua. Follow these steps to make your own.
How to Make The Chihuahua Paper Airplane
Skill Level: Easy Airplane
Type: Dart
Throw Style: Hard, Up at a Slight Angle
Step 1:
Start with an 8.5 x 11 piece of paper.
Step 2:
Next fold the paper in half, and then unfold it.
Step 3:
Next fold the top two corners in so that they are touching the center line as shown above.
Step 4:
Then fold the edges in again so they are touching the center line as well.
Step 5:
Now fold the point of your paper airplane down about an inch on the center line.
Step 6:
Next fold the plane in half as shown above.
Step 7:
Fold one side back for the wing.
Step 8:
Flip the paper airplane over.
Step 9:
And then fold the other wing back so it lines up with the other wing.
Step 10:
Next unfold the plane.
Step 11:
Finally fold the wing flaps, (ears) up and you’re done with your Chihuahua!
Give it a try and let me know how it goes!
